PFC Clyde W. Hardman, 89, U.S. Army, born May 20, 1914, passed away on January 15, 2004. Hardman served with 118th Infantry Regiment and deployed to the European Theater of WWII. After the invasion of Normandy, his company was sent in to help clear the remaining enemy resistance in the area. They then continued through France into Belgium and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Hardman's unit then helped push Nazi forces across the Rhine River into Germany and expedited the end of the war. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
