In Memory OfPFC Clarence W. Byrd

PFC Clarence W. Byrd, 86, U.S. Army, born May 20, 1912, passed away on December 28, 1998. Byrd was an Infantryman with 406th Infantry Regiment, 102nd Infantry Division in the European Theater of WWII. During the Rhineland Campaign, he fought on the frontline as his unit became an essential part in driving enemy forces back into the heart of Germany. Byrd was a devoted patriot who took great pride in his service to our country. He was a loving husband, a fantastic father, and a great friend. For his service, he earned the Bronze Star! Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
