Ofc Kenneth A. Santucci, 32, Belleville Police Department (BPD), born November 10, 1975, died in the line of duty on September 6, 2008. After two years of policing rough streets with the Newark P.D., Santucci transferred to the BPD. There, he protected his town through proactive patrol, rapid response efforts, and community outreach programs. Santucci is remembered for his dedication, sense of humor, and love of all things Batman. He was truly a great man who never took a moment of his short life for granted.
