In Memory OfOfc Charles D. Cole Jr.

Ofc Charles D. Cole Jr., 49, Nassau County Police Department (NCPD), born May 8, 1962, passed away from 9/11-related cancer on August 14, 2011. Cole was an EMT and Firefighter before joining the NCPD. When the towers fell, Cole responded to Ground Zero, where his skills as a First Responder made him a true asset as he aided in recovery operations for weeks. Nearly ten years later, he became another casualty of the terrorist attack from cancer caused by exposure to toxic materials while pulling victims from the rubble. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
