In Memory OfMSG Robert J. Bunnell

MSG Robert J. Bunnell, 28, U.S. Army, born January 31, 1923, passed away in a POW camp on January 31, 1951. Bunnell was an Infantryman with 2nd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment in the Korean War. During the Third Battle of Seoul, he became separated from his unit when their position was overrun by Chinese forces. Amidst the chaos, Bunnell was captured and marched north to Suan Bean POW camp, where he passed away due to the horrendous conditions. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Prisoner of War Medal. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
