In Memory OfMM2 Paul J. Yakovich

MM2 Paul J. Yakovich, 56, U.S. Navy, born in Pennsylvania May 25, 1940, passed away from cancer on August 1, 1996. During the Cold War, Yakovich served as a Machinist's Mate on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42). Onboard, he ensured the propulsion systems were always functional as the carrier conducted patrols and nuclear deterrence operations from Cuba to the Mediterranean. Yakovich enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving father, a fiercely loyal friend, and a true patriot. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
