In Memory OfMM2 Donald R. Patterson

MM2 Donald R. Patterson, 75, U.S. Navy, born in Kentucky October 19, 1942, passed away on May 7, 2018. During the Cold War, Patterson served in the Pacific and the Mediterranean Sea as a Machinist's Mate aboard the USS Yorktown (CVS-10). There, he maintained the ship's engineering systems as they maintained Naval readiness to defend against the Soviet threat. Patterson was a humble and patriotic man of deep faith. He was a fiercely loyal friend, a loving husband, and a devoted father of three. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
