In Memory OfMajor Leslie S. Leatherman

Major Leslie S. Leatherman, 57, Laurel County Fire Dept., born March 27, 1968, passed away in the line of duty on May 17, 2025. Major Leatherman served as Assistant Director of the 911 Center in Whitley County and as a Major with the Laurel County Fire Department. He began his career as an EMT, then became an emergency dispatcher for Laurel County and Kentucky State Police, and a fire rescue instructor. Les was a wonderful person who put his community first, dedicating 39 years to public service. We have the watch now, Major! Til Valhalla, Brother!
