MSgt James A. Staup, 61, U.S. Air Force, born in Michigan February 23, 1956,
passed away from health complications on February 22, 2018. After three years in
a munitions unit, Staup was a Boom Operator with 618th Air Operations Center
(Tanker Airlift Control Center). He deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm,
where he performed in-flight refueling aboard KC-10 Extenders and KC-135
Stratotankers. Staup was a hard-working family man with a big heart. He enjoyed
shooting sports, NASCAR, and working with his hands. Fly high, Airman! Til
