MSgt Allen A. Honey, 79, U.S. Army Air Corps, U.S. Air Force, born January 10, 1914, passed away on December 7, 1993. Honey was a B-24 Turret Gunner with 783rd Bomb Squadron in WWII and was shot down twice. First, his plane was hit by flak, and he bailed out and landed in the sea, floating for hours before being rescued. The next time Honey had to bail, he was captured and spent the rest of the war in a POW camp. He would go on to serve in the Korean War until he retired. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart with OLC. Fly high, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
