In Memory OfLTC Laverne D. Jourdonais

LTC Laverne D. Jourdonais, 86, U.S. Army Reserve, born July 28, 1938, passed January 13, 2025. Jourdonais was a trailblazing Marine Corps air traffic controller in the 1950s, later commissioning as an Army Reserve nurse officer and retiring as Lieutenant Colonel after Desert Storm, while raising a family and building an ICU nursing career. Tough on the outside, soft on the inside, she fiercely advocated for animals and spent her life caring for others, in uniform and out. She leaves her son Jeff, daughter Heather, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Semper Fidelis. Til Valhalla, Sister.
