LCpl James O. Long Jr., 67, U.S. Marine Corps, born October 25, 1948, passed away from cancer on February 17, 2016. He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1974 as a 5-ton multi-fuel driver, hauling ammunition and deceased soldiers at Cadena AFB. Long was a dedicated motor transport driver, ensuring vital supplies reached their destinations and respectfully transporting fallen comrades. Beyond his service, he was a loving husband to Patricia for 50 years, a devoted father to his two sons, and cherished his oldest grandson, Michael. His legacy of service and family devotion continues through those he loved. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
