In Memory OfLCpl Gerald W. Emerick

LCpl Gerald W. Emerick, 79, U.S.M.C., born August 31, 1944, passed away on May 31, 2024. In the height of the Cold War, Emerick served as a Rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, his unit trained relentlessly and was ready to deploy if the world's DEFCON 2 situation deteriorated further. Emerick was a proud yet humble man who found great solace in his faith. No matter what was going on in his life, he was never too busy to make time for someone in need. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
