LCpl Zachary V. Gladstone, 25, U.S.M.C., born February 20, 1992, lost the battle within on August 23, 2017. Gladstone was a Mortarman with 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While on a mission in Kabul, he was severely injured by an IED and was medically discharged from service. Gladstone was a kind man who never met a stranger. He is remembered for his quick wit, infectious smile, and tremendous love he had for his family and friends. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
