LCpl Caleb J. Powers, 21, U.S.M.C., born in Oregon October 31, 1982, was killed in action on August 17, 2004. Powers was a Rifleman with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and deployed to the Middle East for Operation Iraqi Freedom. With just two weeks left on his tour, Powers was on guard duty from the rooftop of an observation post in Al Anbar when he was shot by a sniper. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and has a scholarship program and an annual car show named in his honor. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
