In Memory Of

LCpl Adam J. Crumpler, 19, U.S.M.C., born in West Virginia August 31, 1985, was killed in action on June 18, 2005. Crumpler was a Rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment and deployed to Iraq. During Operation Spear, his Regimental Combat Team was in Karbala in an attempt to destroy Insurgent support systems. After rescuing four Iraqi prisoners and capturing a large weapons cache, Crumpler passed away after being hit by enemy fire. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and has a highway named in his honor. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
