In Memory OfK-9 Britta

K-9 Britta, 11, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), born December 14, 2012, passed away on June 9, 2024. Britta served with the CSPD as an Explosives Detection Dog. During her 10 years on the force, she conducted hundreds of operations and swept for bombs for public events and Presidential visits. Britta was an energetic and playful pup who oddly preferred carrots and cucumbers over any dog treat. Above all, she loved playing with her Chuckit ball with her handler and best friend, Officer Shawn Mahon. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Sister!
