ITCS Kenneth F. Rayford Jr., 47, U.S. Navy, born June 5, 1971, in Chicago, IL, lost the battle within on April 22, 2019. He started his career on the aircraft carrier USS Midway. He served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. A recipient of numerous awards, ITCS Rayford was recognized for his exceptional training of personnel, including those on a Korean submarine. He served honorably for 20 years. Beyond his distinguished service, Kenneth, known as Kemo, was a passionate family man, a role model, and a respected leader who expected excellence from those around him..
