IT2 Katheryn E. Joiner, 39, U.S. Navy, born September 27, 1980, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2019. During the War on Terror, Joiner served as an Information Systems Technician aboard the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) and deployed to the Middle East. Onboard, she managed secure communications, maintained shipboard networks, supported air operations, and ensured cybersecurity for classified systems. Joiner was a patriotic family woman who took immense pride in her service to our country. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Sister!
