In Memory OfHMC Anthony N. Iannarelli Sr.

HMC Anthony N. Iannarelli Sr., 73, U.S. Navy, born March 4, 1916, passed away on January 2, 1990. During WWII, Iannarelli was a Hospital Corpsman and stationed in Guam. In December of 1941, Japanese forces attacked the island, and he was captured and sent to Camp Chikko Osaka 34-135. There, Iannarelli was part of "The Eighty Thieves," who found ways to steal food and creature comforts to help keep morale up while enduring years of forced labor. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the POW Medal. Fair winds and following seas, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
