FF Henry A. Miller Jr., 51, FDNY Ladder Company 105, born October 18, 1949, was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001. A 28-year veteran of Ladder 105 in Brooklyn, Miller declined retirement three separate times because he loved the job too much to leave it. Following his own father into the FDNY, he drove Ladder 105's truck to the World Trade Center that morning, just as he had during the 1993 WTC bombing. He was known as a steady and gentle man.
