In Memory OfFirefighter Dennis P. O'Berg

FF Dennis P. O'Berg, 28, FDNY Ladder Company 105, born July 31, 1973, was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001. A Babylon, New York native, O'Berg left a career in accounting to follow his firefighter father's footsteps into the FDNY. Just seven and a half months on the job, he'd found his true calling, becoming a happier, easygoing version of himself. His father, also an FDNY lieutenant, searched Ground Zero for months afterward, later placing a memorial card bearing Dennis's name on the Trade Center's Last Column. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
