Fire Chief John P. Norris Jr., 55, Forest Bend F.D. (FBFD), born January 28, 1968, passed away in the line of duty on November 25, 2023. Norris' firefighting career began with the Houston F.D., where he rose to the rank of Captain. Wanting to do more to protect his community, he also volunteered with the FBFD and was an Airport Rescue Firefighter, Wildland Firefighter, and Paramedic. Norris' commitment to his community was well-known, and through his dedication, he became Chief of the Department. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
