FF & EMT-P Donald M. Scheer, 48, Mt. Washington Fire Department (MTFD), Louisville Metro EMS (LME), born September 2, 1975, passed away from a stroke on October 18, 2023. Scheer began serving his community as a Firefighter with MTFD for seven years. He then became a paramedic with LME and a Flight Paramedic with Air Evac Lifeteam, where he flew to treat patients who were too severely injured to wait for an ambulance. Even after his passing, Scheer continued to save lives through the gift of organ donation. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
