FF & EMT Christopher E. Rothmeyer, 27, New London Fire Department, born November 9, 1997, in Cabarrus County, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2025. Chris dedicated his life to emergency services, becoming an EMT and volunteer firefighter at eighteen. He served with both the Bethany and New London Fire Departments, bringing a calm presence and steady hands to every scene. Colleagues remembered him as one of the best medics and firefighters. Beyond his service, Chris was a devoted son and brother, cherishing time fishing and camping with his family. His humor and easy smile made everyone feel comfortable. He answered every call, right up until the last one. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
