EN3 Charles E. Morris Jr., 53, U.S. Navy, born February 22, 1948, passed away from cancer on June 13, 2001. Morris served as an Engineman in the Vietnam War. There, he was tasked with maintaining U.S. patrol boats and ensuring they were always ready to conduct river and coastal operations. After the war, Morris supported his fellow veterans who were going through hard times as a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a great friend, a fantastic father, and, by far, the favorite grandpa. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
