In Memory OfEN2 Dean F. Gewecke

October 14, 2012. Gewecke was an Engineman aboard the minesweeper, USS Fearless (MSO-442). There, he maintained the vessel's propulsion systems as they conducted training exercises to develop and refine our new naval mine warfare techniques. Gewecke was a man who lived to help others. After the military, he returned to his hometown of Pipestone, where he was elected Mayor and dedicated his efforts to helping those in need. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
