EMT-B Austin D. Kakalow, 23, Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), born April 26, 1999, lost the battle within on November 25, 2022. Kakalow found it was his purpose to serve others as a Civil Air Patrol Cadet and a Junior Firefighter. Then became an EMT with American Medical Response, and was sent to the East Coast to assist in FEMA's COVID-19 and natural disaster relief operations. Kakalow next joined the EMSA and was learning to become a flight nurse, but passed away before completing his training. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
