EM3 Stephen M. Wilson Sr., 76, U.S. Navy, born March 16, 1947, passed away on July 31, 2023. Wilson was an Electrician's Mate aboard the USS Epperson (DD-719) during the Vietnam War, where he kept the ship’s power systems running reliably. His duties supported the vessel’s naval gunfire support for our ground troops, search and rescue operations, and standby recovery readiness for NASA’s Gemini space missions. Wilson is remembered as a charismatic and kind man who was always there when you needed a friend. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
