In Memory OfEM2c Richard L. Hall
March 6, 1922 - January 26, 2006
EM2c Richard L. Hall, 83, U.S. Navy, born March 6, 1922, passed away on January 26, 2006. Hall was an Electrician's Mate aboard the YMS-321 Minesweeper in WWII. While at sea, he ensured their electronic systems were fully functional as they disarmed underwater explosive devices. His vessel played a critical role in clearing way for landing ships in several Pacific invasions. Hall knew the importance of his role and said the proudest moment of his life was seeing our flag rise atop Mount Suribachi in Iwo Jima. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
