In Memory OfDeputy Sheriff Jacob A. Nees

Deputy Sheriff Jacob A. Nees, 27, Summit County Sheriff's Office (SCSO), born April 15, 1996, passed away in a motorcycle accident on August 6, 2023. Nees began his career with the State of Ohio as a Parole Officer and an Undercover Narcotics Officer. He then found his home with the SCSO and quickly made a lasting impression on his colleagues and community. In his honor, a scholarship was created to help students who want to become first responders or pursue public policy and criminal justice careers just as Nees did. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
