Deputy Jesse R. Cooper, 33, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO), born July 19, 1990, lost the battle within on November 18, 2023. Cooper served the JCSO as a Patrolman, Dive and Rescue Team Member, and SWAT team member. He loved his community and always looked for more ways to protect it. Cooper was a prankster with a great sense of humor and a servant's heart. He was held in such high regard that today, when his co-workers find themselves in intense situations, they ask themselves, "What would Coop do?" Rest easy; We have the watch now!
