Deputy Garth A. Rasmusson, 56, Kendall County Sheriff's Office, born September 11, 1968, in Aurora, Illinois, lost the battle within on March 5, 2025. For 23 years, Garth served as a Deputy Sheriff, working in the courthouse and jail, always remembering the humanity in everyone he encountered. He was known for his contagious laugh and his ability to brighten anyone's day, earning him a Lifesaving Award. A devoted family man, Garth and his wife Amber raised their children, Miah and Caleb, and he cherished his granddaughter, Eleanor. He was a father figure to his nephew, Joshua, inspiring him to pursue a career in law enforcement. Garth loved fishing, deer hunting, and spreading holiday cheer. He was a man you could always count on, a loving and dedicated presence to all who knew him. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
