In Memory OfCPT Michael W. Kilroy

December 10, 1941 - May 19, 1966

CPT Michael W. Kilroy, 24, U.S. Army, born December 10, 1941, was killed in action on May 19, 1966. Kilroy was an Assistant Battalion Advisor with MACV in Vietnam. While at an outpost in Quảng Trị, the area came under attack. Kilroy quickly rallied his troops into position before leaving cover to direct air support, continuing to lead until he was hit by an enemy mortar. Though he fell, his actions repelled the NVA attack and saved countless lives. For his service, Kilroy earned a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Silver Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
