Cpl Sean P. Kelly, 23, U.S.M.C., born February 18, 1981, passed away in a
helicopter crash on January 26, 2005. Kelly served with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine
Regiment, 3rd Marine Division and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom. His unit was being flown to protect polling sites for the upcoming 2005
Iraq Parliamentary Election when their Super Stallion helicopter encountered a
brutal sandstorm and crashed. Kelly and 30 brothers-in-arms perished in what
became known as the deadliest day of the Iraq War. Semper Fi, Marine! Til
