In Memory OfCpl Ralph D. Storm Jr.

Cpl Ralph D. Storm Jr., 27, U.S.M.C., born May 20, 1942, was killed in action on July 27, 1969. Storm was a Rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment in Vietnam. While on patrol in Quang Nam, his unit was ambushed by NVA forces. When a medevac helicopter arrived, Storm left cover to carry a wounded Marine for extraction. Shortly after takeoff, the CH-46 Sea Knight was struck by a barrage of enemy fire and crashed, taking the lives of all aboard. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Silver Star.
