Cpl Peter F. Brown Jr., 65, U.S.M.C., born in Ohio April 21, 1949, passed away from
Agent Orange-related health complications on August 18, 2014. Brown was a
Machine Gunner with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division in
Vietnam. While on a mission, his fire team leader was injured in an ambush, so he
took control. Brown directed his men where to deliver such a high volume of fire
against the large group of enemy forces that they were forced to retreat. He
earned the Navy Achievement Medal with "V" device. Semper Fi, Marine! Til
