In Memory OfCPL Everett W. Leffler

CPL Everett W. Leffler, 19, U.S. Army, born January 7, 1931, was declared MIA on November 30, 1950. Leffler served as a Field Artillery Cannoneer with 38th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division in the Korean War. During the Battle of the Ch’ ongch’on River, his unit was in a forced breakout and ordered to fall back after a large Chinese offensive had been launched. During the withdrawal, Leffler's position was overrun by hostile forces, and he disappeared amidst the chaos. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
