In Memory OfCapt Andrew D. LaMont

Capt Andrew D. LaMont, 32, U.S.M.C., born August 1, 1971, passed away in a helicopter crash on May 19, 2003. LaMont was a CH-46E Sea Knight pilot with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 and flew support missions in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. While flying to resupply an FOB near Baghdad, his helicopter got caught in a sandstorm and crashed into a canal. LaMont, his crew, and a Marine from the base who swam out to rescue them did not survive. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Semper Fi, Marine!
