AM1 Ian J. Gunderson, 27, U.S. Navy, born August 19, 1996, lost the battle within
on November 16, 2023. Gunderson was an Aviation Structural Mechanic with
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 75 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt
(CVN-71). There, he helped inspect and maintain his unit's Sea Hawk helicopters,
ensuring they were always flight-worthy. Gunderson was a genuinely caring man
who put others before himself. His last gift to this world was donating his organs
