In Memory OfA1C John W. Hill

A1C John W. Hill, 84, U.S. Air Force, born February 20, 1933, passed away on November 10, 2017. Hill served as a Munitions Specialist with 802nd Airbase Group, 802nd Supply Squadron in the Korean War. While stationed at Itazuke Air Base, he built, maintained, and loaded bombs and ammunition for jet fighters heading into combat. Hill was a man of deep faith and, as Deacon of Lakeview Baptist Church, provided spiritual guidance for 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, watching Tarheels basketball, and fishing trips to Surf City.
