A1C Kenneth W. Sturgill III, 21, U.S. Air Force, born in California February 13, 1995, passed away during an exercise on July 7, 2016. After basic training, where he graduated first in class, Sturgill applied for Special Ops and assigned to 66th Training Squadron, Detachment 3. He dreamt of being a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape instructor but needed to undergo the training program first. Sturgill showed immense promise and had the skills to be a great teacher, but passed away on the last day of SERE training. Fly high, Airman! Til Valhalla, Brother!
