1st Lt Charles M. Deas, 25, U.S. Air Force, born March 4, 1945, passed away in a plane crash on February 11, 1971. Deas was a C-123 Pilot with 310th Tactical Airlift Squadron, 315th Tactical Airlift Wing, 7th Air Force in Vietnam. During Operation Ranchhand, his unit flew surveillance and mosquito spraying missions.
