In Memory Of1LT Nhia Ying Lor

1LT Nhia Ying Lor, 78, Royal Lao Army, born September 25, 1945, passed away on
March 21, 2024. Lor served with a Hmong Special Guerrilla Unit recruited by the CIA
to conduct covert missions in Laos, in areas the U.S. couldn't go during Vietnam. In
this "Secret War," he helped gather intelligence, disrupt NVA supply lines, and rescue
downed American pilots, all while enduring immense losses. After the war, Lor
resettled in Minnesota, where he built a new life and family in the land he valiantly
fought for from the shadows. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy,
Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
