September marks National Service Dog Month, a time when we pause to appreciate the four-legged companions who stand beside our nation’s bravest, especially when the battle continues at home.

Our founder, Korey, often shares how his dog became a lifeline during the darkest parts of his battle with PTSD. After losing his friend, Dunston, to suicide shortly after returning from Afghanistan, Korey spiraled, like so many Veterans do. But while the war had followed him home, so did something else: unconditional love. A quiet, loyal presence that didn’t ask questions, didn’t expect anything in return, just stayed. In a world that felt like it was collapsing, Korey’s dog helped keep him grounded.
