SP4 Conrad E. Ross, 23, U.S. Army, born in Indiana July 10, 1944, was killed in action on February 6, 1968. In the Vietnam War, Ross was a Parachute Rigger with 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, ensuring the canopies would always properly deploy. During the Tet Counteroffensive, his unit was on patrol in Long An when they were attacked by a large enemy force. Amidst the chaos, Ross passed away when he was hit by small arms fire. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
