SGT Cameron M. Flack, 18, U.S. Army, born in North Carolina January 3, 1932, was killed in action on December 12, 1950. Flack was an Infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division as part of a UN campaign in the Korean War. During the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, he passed away when over 120,000 Chinese troops attacked the UN forces. Thought to be lost forever, his remains were identified by DNA in 2014, and he was laid to rest in his hometown. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
