In Memory OfLieutenant Samuel J. Spille

Lieutenant Samuel J. Spille, 31, Boone County Water Rescue (BCWR), Fort Mitchell F.D. (FMFD), born May 24, 1990, passed away from cancer on November 20, 2021. Early in life, Spille felt it was his duty to protect the community he loved, so he joined the BCWR. To do so in as many ways as possible, he was a diver, boat operator, rescue swimmer, and ice rescue technician. In addition to his duties with BCWR, Spille was a Volunteer Firefighter with FMFD and was named "Volunteer of the Year" in 2017. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
