Cpl Alejandro Ponce Jr., 22, U.S.M.C., born in Illinois August 25, 1999, lost the battle within on December 29, 2021. Ponce served as a Team Leader with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and spent his first deployment in Okinawa. He then returned to the States and was sent to the Southwest border to provide security for Customs and Border Patrol. Ponce enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and playing sports. He is remembered as a generous man with a great sense of humor and a big heart. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
